Yes, year 1999 started off with cornstarch products only. Since then introduced
fibre materials like sugarcane, palm fibre, bio plastics and paper. Any of them
fully biodegradable. Note that degrading can take several cycles longer than
composting kitchen waste. Fibre and paper products take 2-4 months,
cornstarch material 8-16 months, bioplastic up to three years, depending
thickness and constitution of the product. Commercial composting systems will
shorten these periods. For this reason, the long lasting materials are not
suitable for backyard composting.

The code numbers in this site including the letter H, tell that the product is
suitable for hot drinks and hot food. The first letter of the code number shows
the material of the product:
- Q palm/sugarcane/wheat fibre
- G bioplastic, more details by clicking link newsletter above
- J, K or S are cornstarch/cornstarch-related
All bags are food graded, can be heat sealed and are ok in the freezer. Not ok in
Bagasse products can be used in the micro wave.r
